Thank you for the fun time at the Grand Prix yesterday, mud and all! We all had a good time and look forward to the next one. David Fisher _____________________________________________________________ Craig/Cherry I just wanted the say thank you for an excellent race that you guys put on at Cahuilla. Eric has been riding the Dist 37 Big Six series and has fallen in love with the Grand Prix style races. Up until yesterday his favorite course has been Racetown’s. When he was finished with his 1st race yesterday, he was all mud and smiles, grinning and saying “that was fun and the best track I have ever ridden”. So hats off to you and the crew at Cahuilla for pulling this off in the cold wet weather. We look forward to the next race. The sense of urgency you and the girls take to get results up for racers to see really sets you apart from other racing organizations. I haven’t raced for at least 24 years, and have spent at least 2/3 of that time without a bike. As a regular TV AMA MX/SX racer I've had the itch to hit a track for years, and finally did it for the Vet-X Summer Series. I know how out of shape I am, and for the first time in over 10 years I have a goal besides WORK!!! M y son Eric rides in the kids support and once in awhile rides the support beginner class. Gary Reiner #414 ________________________________________________________________ Hi Craig, I just wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know how much fun I had last weekend at Glen Helen. I originally signed up before the series started but dragged my feet to race until last weekend. Nervous I guess. So I made up my mind to ride Glen Helen because I thought that it would be a great place to have my first race ever. I got there and with the help of some other cool riders had no problem figuring out what I had to do, where to registar, etc. And even though I certainly would have liked to have finished a bit higher, I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was. And I just wanted to say "thanks." I told all of my riding buddies about VetX and this Sunday I'll be joined by three of them for the races in Cahuilla. Thanks again. Mark Copland #506 _____________________________________________________________ I just wanted to thank all of you involved in Vet X Racing. This weekend at Glen Helen was my first race...definitely won't be my last. This was a great race that was extremely organized and done quickly which is very nice, especially on Easter. I don't remember the names all the people, but the girls in sign-ups were very nice and helpful. In fact, everyone racers included were very cool. I am just glad there is a good group of people out there putting on races and hopefully having fun doing it. I am proud to race your series and have met some great people in my class. Kirk Templeman # 368 _______________________________________________________________ It's by far the best club around and I'm proud to say that I'm a member of it. My hats off to you! Joe Novelich # 604 The final round of the first Vet X series was today, and was a lot of fun as usual. The weather was good, the track was in good shape. The series end prizes were given away, and there was a ton of swag given out. Tires, sets of Xtreme gear, helmets, sprockets, and many many other items. I got a set of Xtreme gear out of the deal. Craig has an awesome series going, with great competition. For all you 28+ year old riders, I strongly recommend giving the next series a try. Steve Emter # 197 Craig, first I just wanted to thank you for putting together such a great series!!! About 15 of us went out to dinner after the race and we all agreed that it was the best run and most enjoyable series that we had been involved with. Owen Fitzsimon # 258 Vet X is being run by a rider for riders in mind. Craig is also making it fun and the racing is great! It was nice to meet some of the other club members. VET CRF 250 # 22 Thanks to Craig Davis and Vet X and thanks to the LA Oldtimers for letting us switch our race to Glen Helen and race with them at the last minute. The racing with Vet X was excellent. It went off extremely smooth and quick. Watched some of the Vet X races and they had some good dices. One class had a pack of guys (about 8-10) that you could have thrown a blanket over the entire group. Now THAT is good racing! Craig runs a really good race day. I would definitely check out some of their races in the future. Michael Mosca ROTMX # 6 Vet X gets a mountain of credit for running one of the smoothest events from practice to finish of the last moto that I can remember. I believe a lot of promoters could learn a lot from him on how he runs his program, all I know is that Vet X put on a class act. It seems he really does care about the riders more than the $$$$. Krut Sofka Jr ROTMX # 610 What a great day it was out at LACR with family, friends and racing! Recap on Vet X club, one word….AWESOME!! I will have to say that the day went like clockwork, races one after another, guy’s finishing up their races and giving high five’s to each other. The laid back surroundings, what a change of pace for my son and I. My son’s comment was that he hasn’t had that much fun racing in a long time. My son and I look forward to more Vet X races. Frank Mierau # 144 I just wanted to say that Ronni Garcia, my boyfriend, is having a blast racing in the series! Angela Olivares The race's you have been putting on are excellent. Each week there are improvements. The kinks seem to have been worked out and everything from registration to gate times are managed well. The people have been great and I've even made some new racing buddies. I can tell that you have had a good vision of what you wanted Vet-X to be. Taken the time to think it through and put it into action!! The 'race series' is a great idea! Keeps things fresh. Its not one long race season like the OTHG, or so broken up like the Fire/police MX (I'm a fireman). Race fees are reasonable, can ride more than one class, and you have found a way to include the kids (great for those vets that have families!!) I can only see your race club getting better once the word gets out. I look forward to many more races. See you at Gorman. Edward Drenten # 38X I wanted to let you know I think you run a great program. I like being able to race a wide variety of tracks and being done by 2:30pm is great! The website is good too, from the pictures that are always up with in a couple of days to the results/standings to keep us informed and motivated to push harder. Thanks again!
